How it works

  1. step 1

    Measure your gutter

Start from the measured original, then check four outside sizes of yours. The 3D view updates as you go.

  2. step 2

    Print the fit test

A short test piece pushes into the gutter end, so you can check the fit before printing the whole outlet.

  3. step 3

    Download and print

Get a zip with the STL and a note of your settings. Print notes say which way up and what supports.

The generator runs OpenSCAD in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. It is a parametric model: a size change is a setting, not a new design.

Questions

Will it fit my greenhouse?

It fits the common UK aluminium greenhouse gutter out of the box. For other makes, measure the outside of your gutter and adjust the four sizes.

Can I connect a hose or water butt?

Yes. Set the spout's outside diameter to suit your hose or downpipe connector.

What filament should I use?

PETG or ASA. Both cope with sun, rain and frost. PLA softens in summer sun, so avoid it for anything outside.

What size printer do I need?

The outlet is small and prints on any home printer, like a Creality Ender V3.

Is it free? Do I need to install anything?

It is free and runs in your browser. The generator runs OpenSCAD locally, so nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to install.

Built by Will

Hi, I'm Will. I make these for jobs around my own house: a gutter that needs a quick fix, or a drawer of cables to tidy. Every part is sized to print on a 220mm bed, like a Creality Ender V3.
