What it makes
The end piece with a downpipe spout, as fitted to UK aluminium greenhouses with built-in gutters. A sleeve pushes into the gutter end and tapers slightly so it wedges tight.
The spout can go straight down or bend up to 90°, pointing away from the house, along the gutter or past the end. A grate over the hole stops leaves going down.
Measuring your gutter
The default sizes come from a scanned original. Greenhouse gutters differ by a few millimetres, so measure the outside of yours: the back wall height, the front wall height, the floor width and the slope of the front wall.
Printing it
- Print the fit test first and push it into the gutter end.
- Too tight: raise the sleeve step by 0.2mm. Too loose: lower it by 0.2mm.
- Print on its end wall, with tree supports under the spout touching the plate only.
- Use PETG or ASA for outdoors.
Questions
Will it fit my greenhouse?
It fits the common UK aluminium greenhouse gutter out of the box. For other makes, measure the outside of your gutter and adjust the four sizes.
Can I connect a hose or water butt?
Yes. Set the spout's outside diameter to suit your hose or downpipe connector.
